We have to improve the business dialogue between our countries

Big construction projects are international and there are no problems Bulgarian companies to participate in them. As far as I know, your firms participate only in gas projects on the territory of Serbia. A gas link between Nis and Sofia is to be built. We expect to work together. The general picture is such that Bulgarian firms do not have special interest to work on projects in our country. But our tenders are open and you can participate if you like.
In crisis investors are not active. Before the crisis several firms showed interest to invest in Bulgaria. They work in telecommunications; there were also plans for buying television channels in Bulgaria. I know about companies dealing with construction materials. They were very interested in Bulgaria but because of the crisis the construction sector collapsed. I think that the decrease was more than 50%. The interest was lost because of that. I do not know if there is wish for investment at the moment but we know that companies are waiting at the border the situation to normalize so that they will mutually work again with Bulgaria. The interest for buying real estates in Bulgaria is great as it is twice less expensive than in Serbia.
We wish the crisis to be over and to work together, to go ahead. If we work together we can more easily go out of the difficult economic situation. We are close countries, our border is administrative. People get on together very well. We have to improve communication between the two countries. That applies also to the construction business and we should work more on this problem.
